Here is my Springfield Armory National Match M1A. It still needs some work before I'm happy with it.

    .
Had one since about 81 or so. I kept it instead of the HK 91 as it was kinder to brass and mags were cheaper. There is probably brass pinging off of the space station these days thrown into orbit by those old HKs.:)

I have a Chinese one and a Fed Ord. Both work flawless. Both about 83 84 models. They have eaten their weight in ammo several times. And they are worth about 2 1/2 times what I paid for them. Unlike my 401 K.

same here, thats one of the guns I want most. Esp since an M14 was the last gun my uncle wanted to own before he died. Now he is gone, so I'm gonna take over and make it my goal to own an M14 or M1a myself. :patriot:

That is one of the reasons that I got my Scout/Squad. My dad wanted a Bush rifle, he too passed away before he could get one.

I feel so ashamed, I have two but have yet to fire a round from either one of them,I have plenty of mags and ammo but have not had the time to take it and try it out at 100 yards and longer

Last fall i almost bought a poly tech M14 over at Ludco that they had for $695. I kept tossing around and trying to figure whether to go for it or get a 30-06. Finally i went back going to go ahead and get it and it was recently sold :( So I looked around and found my K98 and golden state arms mauser 30-06 and bought them instead. I just wish I had bought that M14 sooner now and have been kicking myself ever since.

I've had a ball shooting mine. I flew out to the Whittington Center in New Mexico and stayed for a whole week and had a blast with it on several of the different ranges they have there especially the steel silhouette range, BANG------------------------------------------------------------Bing. It was fun to watch the Rams spin and fall.

Big surprise my name screams "tupperware commando" the guy that loves "plastic pistols" has a socom 16 but in all seriousness I love a pretty blue and walnut M-1 and may own one before its over, but to all those traditionalists that poo-poo the socom try one you will love it
