Welcome back. The link below should provide what you're looking for. Also the magazines from the NRA include a section titled "The Armed Citizen" which includes 5-6 per month.

If the user wants current information, following Amy’s twitter feed will provide good stuff.

My father was attacked in downtown Indy and shot the guy in the leg. My father was working in the courts (not as a judge) at the time and the perp had severe mental illness and wanted to kill judges.

Had he not attack my father first, that guy could have been successful in murdering a sitting judge.

This happened 30 years ago so I am not searching for the news article...if one exists.

The opposite happened to my brother about five years ago.

He was the victim of a car jacking. Perp later committed a rape that day. Finally arrested the next day (?) in an attempted armed burglary. Perp basically got off with nothing because he testified against another scumbag charged with an unrelated murder.

NONE of this was in the local news. Well, the murder might have been but I don't know those details.

    In the country, hopefully.
Please share the stories of how your guns saved you and your family from violent attacks. And please include the associated news articles from television or newspaper outlets, since any such attack would have been mentioned in the news. I'll start. Actually, not only have I never had to use a gun for defense in my 59 years, but I do not personally know anyone who has done so. I am a USAF veteran, qualified expert in small arms, and a gun owner. If I called anyone a name in this post, it was not my intention.

Stick to that thread, reply to that thread.
You’re just spreading a thin layer of your pot stirring all over the place.

The truth is @mrmiller21 is trying to goad members into name calling and such that will force the mods to give those members a time out like he got. He is doing it by attacking our deeply and sincerely held beliefs in a mocking but allowed way.

DO NOT TAKE HIS BAIT! Be careful not to call names or anything that might get you suspended. That us the goal of all these threads…

Yeah, if he doesn’t start engaging I’m going to write him off as the troll he has been accused of being and treat him accordingly.
Yep - I tried to respond like he wasn't trolling something and gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Think I'll move on with my day. Have important things to do. Like cut foam for gun cases and drink coffee.

This. We have a lot of smart, educated gun owners on this site. If he’s here to actually be educated, there is plenty of that to be had here. If he’s here to pot stir and troll, we’ll show him the door.

You're dying to hear about killing people ain't ya?

Can't wait for the chance to do it for yourself huh?

    Well, I have.
Not against a criminal, (enemy combatants) but it was still human lives I took.
Better them that me sure, but still not an easy thing to live with.

Why don't you just get off the computer, and back on the Playstation where you belong?
