Roads are clear throughout Indy. Just cold as HECK! Luckily, they let us wear jeans rather than dress slacks at the office today and tomorrow.

That's about what my road looked like before the plows got through early this morning. Wish I woulda taken a picture of the canyon of of snow I drove through about 2 miles from the house, probably 5' on one side and 8' or so on the upwind side. No idea what it looks like now, I'm guessing not good. The drive home should be interesting.

After I put dinner in the crockpot, finished the laundry/ironing and got ready to go to work...I got a text from the boss saying to go ahead and stay home.
I popped some popcorn and cued up "Shooter". Happy second Sunday!

That's one of my favorite movies!

I made it in today but we don't have anything close to what the Northerners got.

You got it! Boss is asking us to come in tomorrow even though the county is under a state of emergency and I could risk a $2500 ticket if found on the roads. Boss also made it clear that he would not be paying the ticket.

That's a rough day. Wonder what that driver was thinking when he saw that drift?

Our county has a number of spots near us that require the payloader to get them open every time we get any significant snow that drifts.

Hopefully I'll be able to work in the a.m. These arctic blasts and snowfall amounts are really starting to hurt. I think the next person I hear utter the words global warming mind find himself headlong into a four foot drift of said global warming.

We are supposed to get snow again Thursday, Friday and Saturday and I just saw a map forecasting at least another foot next week. This really is getting old.

We're surrounded by open fields and on a cul-de-sac. We've been seeing plows and payloaders quite a bit. Get the drive cleaned off and the wind whipping around the house decides clearing snow is a good workout so we end up with more to clear. Drifts across the drive were 3 feet and packed.

No matter how long we wait... we only see them minutes after we're done clearing out our drive.
I think they feel bad about it... because they always leave us a parting gift in the drive entrance.
