What strength magnet would one use for this ?
I went to Harbor Freight and bought the biggest flat magnet they had ( had to put an eye hook on them, they have a hole through the middle) I think they were $15 each, my son and I use them and have had a blast.

    In the country, hopefully.
A lot of honor and integrity being displayed in this thread. I would love to have one of those rifles but am not willing to go to pound-me-in-the-ass prison for keeping something that wss obviously stolen.
Why would you go to prison for doing the “finders keepers” thing vs the “honor and integrity” thing?
Heaven/hell I get but not prison.
And is the threat of prison what motivates honor and integrity?

ETA: is your logic because the serial numbers were gone??

From this article: "On the other hand, neither weapon had a barrel – which complicates ballistics testing, he said."

"The weapons were bundled up in shrink wrap, he said."

    Definitely boating accident.

I wonder if ballistic tests are like fingerprints and have to be interpreted by a specialist. I can't believe out of 1 million Glock 17's several thousand can't look alike. Like DNA there is 1 in around 1 million that have the same DNA as you and are not related. So at least 34 other people in the United States has identical DNA as you do. Worldwide its in the thousands.

They said the serial numbers have been ground off, so I wouldn’t want to be caught with one!

And just wondering if they weren’t “stolen” and the owner filed a insurance claim on them, cause that’s about 18 thousand dollars worth of guns, and reporting them as stolen might be a way to solve the problem of “do whatever you want!” From the wife!

These were only the lowers. Barretts are like AR15s, as most of the cost of the gun is in the upper and if these lowers were missing the bcg than they aren't worth that much.
