Japan, who owns the BANK OF AMERICA in case you didn't know, does not support our Constitution so I'm moving my millions (in my wildest dreams) to a credit union, owned by USA citizens. I suggest you do the same

Screw the greedy bastards and their ever increasing rates for using our money.

McMillan Mfg. had been a customer of Bank of America and produces rifles for our Military Snipers...

This is happening all around us and we are allowing this socialist government to keep growing: McMillian Mfg in Phoenix, Arizona was contacted by Bank of America and informed that they will no longer be allowed to use their services ( Bank of America ) because they are in the firearms business and support the second amendment.

McMillan was asked if they minded us sharing the following with you.

    Their answer was:

I am fine with you re-posting it. Thank for your support.

" McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking (Bank of America) came to my office.

He scheduled the meeting as an "account analysis" meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them.

He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories. At this point I interrupted him and asked "Can I possibly save you some time so that you don't waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business."

"That is correct", he says. I replied "That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won't mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms-industry friendly?"

"You have to do what you must", he said.

"So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?" Mr. Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing left for him to say.

I think it is important for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment "right to keep and bear arms" should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don't agree with a business' political position, I cannot, in good

Conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products, "

I didn't even need to read this to move my money to a credit union. As soon as the bank we were with started charging me a fee to use my debit card unless I took out either a home loan with them or placed $25,000 in savings I told them to **** off. Best decision I ever made. Of course, things like this just confirm the decision on another level.

Uh, just for reference, Japan does NOT own Bank of America.

Its pretty easy to look up the ownership of major companies.

I've been in my local credit union since I was 15 and haven't left. Might not agree with some of their policy but they are local and support our local causes. When I was a kid I had 2 accounts, both banks got taken over and I closed those accounts.

I use a small hometown bank that has been around since the late 1800s. I deposited a check a few months ago that was large enough that they would normally put a hold on it until it cleared. The new clerk asked the bank manager about the hold and the manager said to go ahead and let it go through because "We know where he lives".

My wife and I moved our accounts to a credit union (Eli Lilly's) when we married. Best decision ever! Other than hunting for an ATM, they have been incredibly easy to work with, and no nutty fees. Why on Earth so many folks bank with those other vultures is beyond me....

As for the chain-email stuff - treat it as BS until independently confirmed. I get SO much of this crud from family, and can't seem to break them of it.

But didn't you know that Snopes is the arbiter of all truth? (BTW-- snopes is a husband/wife home business-- hardly a major enterprise).

One doesn't need an additional reason to ditch BOA. They are awful, and have been, for a long, long time-- long before they booted McMillian.

BOA is like a lot of old-guard businesses (like NY Times, Washington Post) that are getting too big for their britches and having theie lunch eaten by better, smaller competitors.

I'm fortunate enough to have USAA because of my former career. They take a back seat on customer service to no one. They aren't *always* the cheapest, but they are usually the best at a pretty good price.

USAA reimburses you for having to use the "other guy's" ATM. Thus, every ATM on the planet is mine to use without fee (up to 10x/mo).

Moreover, they are one of the few companies in the game that aren't obsessed with rolling in cash to please shareholders. The shareholders are the members, and the company is far less prone to take risks. Thus, it's pretty safe to have all my eggs in their basket (checking, savings, IRAs, etc). I normally wouldn't recommend that practice, but USAA is a noteworthy exception.

Snopes says undetermined? How about calling McMillan to determine it or going to their facebook page where they lay it out? :n00b:

    McMillan Group International | Facebook

Because I have a self imposed FB ban.

Honestly, I didn't read the Snopes page, just found it with some quick Google-Fu. I've already commented on this a read the letter from BofA in response.

I bank with Bloomfield State Bank and Indiana University Credit Union. IUCU has treated me well and is very easy for me to deal with. Bloomfield State Bank has gone above and beyond more than a few times. There is no substitute for doing business with people that you see around town.

I had a credit card with Chase bank once in college. I no longer have credit cards or deal with horrible nightmare companies.
