Where does everyone come from?

Over the years I have found many stigmas attached to the firearm community (who would have thought) a lot of people seem to think that people who own guns are redneck, trashy, thugs, wannabe mercenaries and so on. I wanted to start this to show some people the real gun culture. If you would like post reveliant info i.e.

I am a custodian, no family of my own, I fish, ride quads and play hockey.

Woodworking, fishing and my tinkering with my truck are my hobbies, though since having my kid, the truck has been put on indefinite hold.

I have worked various office jobs. Terms have changed from secretary to admin assistant over the years, but office jobs gave me the opportunity to experience a number of types of jobs. I have worked at a construction company, bank, amusement park (as the office manager but also ran rides and worked in food service when needed), child care so I could stay home with my kids, Shedd Aquarium, law firm doing research for malpractice defense attorney, job placement coordinator for Manpower, Hospital verifying credentials of physicians and making sure they were trained to do the procedures they wanted to do there, transcription for mental health and then running our own business with my husband. Currently, I provide assistance to an elderly neighbor.

I have two adult children and enjoy living in the country. I enjoy nature/wildlife and fish as much as I can with my husband. I am not against hunting as we have eaten a lot of venison over the years, but, at this point, I enjoy feeding and watching the wild critters and feel that shooting them here would present no challenge as they consider this home. Not much sport in that.

I was born in Chicago. My mom was a nurse. My dad was a Chicago police department photographer and then later worked mostly in the trucking industry as a driver and then a safety supervisor. He continued to do some photography on the side, as well as some other artistic endeavors. We moved from Chicago when I was five because my parents did not want to raise us in the city. We grew up with livestock and were involved in 4-H. My kids were raised in a very similar environment with livestock/4-H, etc.

I love flowers and gardening and being outside. I crochet and enjoy making things to be enjoyed by others. I also bake and enjoy cooking. I don't can as much but have done a lot of canning over the years.

I grew up on a farm, spent 21+ years in the USAF.

Married since pre-USAF days, two sons (30 and soon to be 21)

I was a very non-traditional college student for a long time. I finished my MBA last year at the age of 51.

Hobbies other than shooting? Lets see, Internet gadabout and grillmeister are hobbies. I also fight dandelions and often will be painting something around the house. Not sure if walking is a hobby, I walk a lot so I can eat what I want.

I will play along. I am 25 years old, a nursing major at Indiana University Northwest (looking to go into the military when I am done). I currenrtly work at a casino as a security guard, but I am considering taking emt classes in the fall so I can get away from the boat and make more money to get me through school. In my spare time besides firearms and school I help my family with chores on the farm, go to church and partioicate in church functions, and I also enjoy reading history. Currently single

I'm 54. I'm a short fat white guy who wears camo baseball caps and dirty looking work jeans way too much of the time. I'm pretty much what the left pictures. I run a machine that makes jelly jars in a hot loud factory populated by hillbillies from everywhere.
On the other hand, I have a bachelor's degree in political science, a tech certificate in machine tools, I'm a journey machine repairman, I have a CDL, and I used to be state certified to spray trees and grass.
I'm constitutionallly and fiscally conservative, and socially liberal. I think America should aspire to lead the world, but not be it's policeman. If people who hate us anyway want to kill each other, we should not expend one American life to try to stop them.
I'm a baby Christian, a father of two adult daughters, a grandfather to two beautiful boys, a husband, a son.
I'm a past master of the largest fraternity there is, a gardener, a fisherman, (occasionally ), and my church consists of 28 acres or so of tall trees out behind Pop's house.

Professional career, Electronics, 2 way communications and some industrial machine CNC. Robotics etc, repair. I have even done automotive repair. I have done what ever it takes to make a living. Now retired. Just another old fat dude that loves god. guns and my country.

Hobby's are varied to include Guns, building guns, ham radio. talking on and building my own equipment and a bit of a gear head and machinist too. I even dabble in carpentry.

I would like to think I am a well rounded person in more then just one way.


And I am a father of 4, divorced, remarried and a widower a this point.
