My buddy's parents have a 3500 around that year(probably about 5-6 years older though) and it is still an absolute work horse...I doubt it has that many miles, but still runs great.
1997 Mercury Sable 220,000 miles ( wife's old car, son's now)
1997 Ford Escort 146,000 miles (daughter's car)
2000 Jeep Cherokee 147,000 miles (mine)
2007 Ford Taurus 100,000 miles (wife's)
As you can see, I DON'T play the new car game. Take care of them and they will last. Other than the Sable being about worn out, the others all run like new.
That truck was an RV hauler for three years and most of those miles. I still work in that field but not as an OTR driver. Over the years I have seen about a dozen trucks go over a million. All but one were Dodges. The other was a 7.3 Ford.
95 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L 4x4 with around 150k. Has original transmission (still works properly). It runs pretty good but its showing age. Only about 1/2 the rear bumper is still there, interior needs some love, and drivers door is starting to sag.
2008 Audi S4 with 73K
