Depends on the firearm. My M&P 9 loves AA#2, my XD 9 hates it. You have to experiment until you fins the correct powder and load for each firearm. I put some Unique through my M&P 9 this morning. I was happy with the performance, but the gun was filthy after shooting 100 rounds.

N320 is BY FAR the most consistent and soft shooting with 180s in 40 and 115s in 38 Super. Extremely clean, too.

Titegroup is also good. Burns hot (highest nitroglycerin content) , but a good, solid powder.

I've also loaded with 700x in 40. It is good also, but the dirtiest of all of that I have loaded with.

I have used Win231 and Unique for 9mm and 45acp, each guns is different plus what bullet weight are you using. Experiment with the powders, start with the bullet weight and then go from there.

Unique for me...but I bet you could have guessed
    that ;).

    I use Unique for: 9mm, .40S&W, 38 Spec., .357 Mag., .45 Colt, 380,
    .45 ACP, .41 Mag., .357Sig, and 9mm Makarov.

I buy it in huge quantities and use it for all handgun cartridges.
