Shooter521- wake up and chime in!
Do they got some new people working there lately or something? There's been a lot of negative reports coming out of Plainfield lately. Who is this guy so we can avoid them?
You had a legitimate complaint that deserves a response. Now you're just making yourself look foolish.Too many powerlines overhead, in major metropolitan areas, must create Democrats by killing brain cells.
Not sure if I would want to go into a (GUN) shop that has a problem with carrying.
something just sounds wrong with that.
who's side are they on ?
Out of curiosity why would you avoid a shop based off of another person's opinion? I am not passing judgment on Op, but I have witnessed my fair share of out of line customers.
Sniper Co in Ft. Wayne has a sign that states "No loaded firearms, unless in a holster". (Or close to that wording)I have actually had discussions with several shop owners and they usually don't care as long as it stays holstered. If for whatever reason a shop doesn't want people to carry, I would think they would give benefit of the doubt to the customer and politely let them know they have a "no carry policy." Of course, I have been in some shops where the staff were extremely rude and condescending to customers.
I believe that the signs are posted for insurance reasons,AND to remind people that if they are bringing something to sell or trade to be sure that it is cleared. This is not uncommon.Any establishment that has an employee that gets excited to order someone around after hearing that he or she is carrying a firearm had better find higher quality employees.Maybe that is why he was working where he was though.

Yep, I figured you were "just one of those guys"
bottom line is follow the rules or keep your mouth shut and you'll be just fine.
And now you're bashing someones job like you know where they have gone in life?!
Take your probelms to people that care.
I've heard that claim a lot, but never seen or heard of any proof. I think "insurance" is an excuse.
How about instead you make the policy KEEP YOUR LOADED GUN IN THE DAMN HOLSTER!
There is no reason in the world you need to be drawing a loaded gun inside a gun store unless you're planning to shoot someone. If you're going to check the fit in a new holster or you're going to sell it, go outside and unload it.
