Why isn't it that these guys can't EVER where the uniform correctly. It's not that difficult...especially for the world's oldest Lance Corporal.

I like to watch those stolen valor videos.
Even I can usually tell something is wrong with their uniform even though I never served in the US military.:dunno:

But this one didn't talk. When they talk and tell you about their 5 Purple Hearts, their 3 Medals of Honors and their numerous tours in Irak and Vietnman it gets priceless. :):

I saw a guy in a Army uniform with a Navy SEAL trident who said he was like a Marine sniper.

It's kinda sad that this happens with the frequency it does, why can't they at least google the placement and proper wear. What's really worrisome is those that do and we never find out.

I support the right to free speech, and SCOTUS ruled that's what this is. IANAM but I am a soldier. And since I think the Corps has the biggest devil dog in this fight, I would like to offer my services to them. I will gladly escort this gentleman to Camp Pendleton (where he claims to have been stationed) and make sure he and a copy of this video get to some people who can help him square his uniform away. If he happens to fall down several flights of stairs while standing on level ground, that will just be unfortunate. Who wants to ride shotgun for the road trip?

This guy is too old to be who I thought it may be, at least according to the age listed in his profile. There are a few like this here.

Now you've got me curious, again. I always wonder who isn't legit, and try to give folks the benefit of the doubt. But I still wonder.

Uniforms vary from branch to branch.
    Then, over time they change.
Some details are so small, even active duty has been known to mess up.

And you have to be careful calling them out.
Just recently there was an article about people falsely accused.

I laughed at the last line.

But seriously, I have two Croix de Guerre's from my time in the French Foreign Legion. That's before I was a ranger delta seal.

Definitely true. But that dude was seriously tore up from the floor up. Unless that's how the MARSOC special delta para rescue guys wear theirs, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's just a piece of :poop: fraud.

Not everyone shows the correct date since it's a possible identify theft issue. Some people don't care.

My fault for not being clear. I wasn't referring to age accuracy in people's profiles. I meant I'm curious who on here that claims to be current or prior service might be faking it.

LOL. I've never figured this out other than it's classic wannabe. I saw a kid at a drag strip a number of years back wearing a windbreaker with a fighting Seabee on the back of it. I figured for sure he was too young to be in the MCB's. But, it was just me getting too old. That "kid" was 22.

lol, that's pretty funny. I'm in my early 30's, and deal with new recruits on an almost daily basis right now. I still figure I'm pretty young, but these new privates are all kids to me.

The fun started here and goes for a few pages. https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...l-today-what-do-they-want-60.html#post5630145

At post 2503 I call him out. Discussion ends around 2525 when someone new gets confused about what the 50 post thread is about and what happened.

    Summary is:

Member lost LTCH for mental issues and comes here to ask for help.
Says he has PTSD but for other reasons because he isn't and has never been military.
Four years later he tells us he's a retired Gunny.
    Gets caught, gets mad, leaves.

Good read, thanks for that. And that was some pretty good research there, gum shoes. So this guy made it to E-7 in his latest fantasy, that's pretty good work. It's taken me 7 1/2 years to make E-6, and that was a lot of hard work, dedication and time away from the wife and kids.

I had him on my ignore list so if I ever put something up for sale or wanted to purchase something and he responded to the ad I would know to look into it farther. Kind of like a warning system. He made it there from his initial threads about having his LTCH revoked. I thought the name looked familiar when his post about getting smacked down from 50 showed up shrunken. I looked back and found that a few days later.

As soon as this thread popped up and the news story on Fox 59 I thought of this guy.

Dude was so ****ed up I couldn't even laugh. I've had some of my boots mess up little **** on their uniforms but this guy was so ass backwards. Are uniform is not exactly hard to get right cuz we don't have a lot of "frill" like the army with all their patches and stuff.

Whoever the guy was that corrected him was nicer then I would have been.
