Glock 21 in .45 ACP
Question 1, the new finish on the gun had not fully hardened/cured when took it out to shoot it. While it was not sticky to the touch, it certainly did not exhibit the same level of lubricity that a fully cured finish had. After about 20 days it was running perfectly again. I know another guy who had the exact same finish applied by Para Ordnance to his gun, he had the exact same problem for the first few weeks after his gun was returned from their shop. His gun also straightened out and started to run again. I don't know what finish Para uses, but I know that Duracoat recommends that a gun not be used until the finish is fully cured.
So a wet finish will slow the gun in question down? What happens if you drop that pistol in the dirt by accident? Do you think it will run?
"Wet" is completely different. "Dirty" is completely different. Even "muddy" is completely different.
I don't even understand how you can make that statement, it certainly is not based on anything I wrote.Sounds like your Para wouldn't run in any of those conditions.
You have to remember that I hated guns up until about 4 years ago. My whole outlook on things changed when my family started taking karate. A whole lot of things changed for me at that time and guns is one of them. ...Also, not that it should matter, but I am a woman.
