I guess my question is...when is enough enough? At what point do you stop endangering the rest of society?

I know what Mike Huckabee would do  ...but what should society do with an individual like this?

Can we start a new Australia? maybe call it Australia Part Duex? extricate all the worthless criminals there and let them work it out amongst themselves? I mean, after a while, Australia turned out ok ;)

While in the marine corps I spent a ton of time at the rifle range (as all marines do). You are required to complete a yearly m-16 qualification....unless you shoot expert. You shoot 500 meters open sighted. I have always said this would be a great learning tool/way to control taxpayer money spent on low life non-contributers to society. You take one of these scumbags who cannot be reformed and strap them to a target. At 500 meters a human torso is about the width of the front sight post of the rifle. Two things get accomplished here. One, is there is no fear of being able to pull the trigger when the time comes that it is necessary. And secondly, my tax dollars can go to fixing the %&^ing potholes in the road I drive on going to work everyday!!!

    I like this idea! :yesway:

This. Tall tree, short rope. And since it's Texas, a slap on the rump of the pony.

    Or this idea!! :rockwoot:

Either way I believe death is the only way a scumbag like him will ever learn or will there be justice.

I can't decide which idea I like more. I'm leaning toward sandman's idea more, but appeasing the volcano god sounds like fun too... :dunno:

Did anyone noticed that while he was being escorted by two prison guards, he produced a weapon? Would it be too unreasonable to expect that someone else join him in prison?

It says he produced a "weapon". It doesn't say what kind of weapon it was.

Oops, sorry. Didn't see this paragraph later on:

Some 45 minutes into the transfer trip, as they were driving through Conroe, 40 minutes north of Houston, the prisoner pulled out a pistol and ordered the guards to drive south to Baytown.

I think he should be pampered and his self esteem raised to it's highest level we should try to understand why he does these horrible things... then we should smash his head in with a wood maul.

I don't see a problem with trying to rehabilitate offenders, even the worst ones. Obviously, that's not a preferred solution in this bloodthirsty crowd, but I believe in redemption, and the idea that it's never too late to repent. It seems to me that our goal should be showing a criminal the way back, rather than indulging sadism at the cost of our own souls. After all, it may be necessary to kill a man, but we should worry about those who derive pleasure from the mere prospect of doing so.

Clearly, it is the life sentence that is the problem. The poor soul has no hope. We should set him free, so that his hope is restored, then he will change.

Hope and change... it's the answer to all our problems!!

Don't think of it as taking his life, think of it as saving the lives of countless children he will or will attempt to molest. Children don't bounce back from things like that.

Child sexual abuse - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

People that commit these types of crimes were often times victims of the same crime in their childhood. Which means that the 3-4 people that this creep has molested could become child molesters themselves. When is enough, enough for you?

Cut his penis off, and stick it down his throat.....oh wait that is what they do in Africa, and other third world countries, we just let the same old thing happen over and over again. Our Justice system is messed-up to say the least. I'm all for public executions, a reading of the crimes and then execute. It will have an impact on future criminals.:twocents:

I'm not necessarily opposed to executing incorrigible criminals. I simply believe that it should be done reluctantly, even sorrowfully. With love, if that makes any sense. My objection is to the mindset that sees and desires torture and death as a form of entertainment -- not the fake stuff like one sees in the Saw films, but real, actual torture and death. I don't believe it's possible to desire such things without searing one's own soul or conscience or whatever you want to call it.
