I got a holster and some mag holders made at Raven (got in there early enough today to get them done), picked up a really nice SOG knife from Brad and an INGO Shirt.
I went back today and got a Magpul 30 round AR mag, Magpul MOE grip, 28 round Glock 30 extended mag, and a Firefighter spring assisted folding knife with seatbelt cutter all for about $80....not too shabby!
I worked the Appleseed table today (sunday) and met several INGOers. That was cool.
I picked up my "full sized D" steel target from Bobcat Steel. It was the one he had painted white on display. NICE. I look forward to testing it out.
I bought one of those radiation meters from that guy who was selling geiger counters and rad meters. I'm going to see if there's someone @ IU who can help me figure out if it works or not. If not, it is a piece of cold war memorabilia.
I also got a tomahawk off of a young man from Missouri. It's wicked sharp and now I need to find some bandages.
I really didn't get to cruise this show as much as I would have liked. I was stuck in the trenches most of the time because of how busy it was, but I did manage to pick up a 5.11 Tactical duty belt and and Microtech knife that will go into my collection.
Re-upped my membership. Got a bacon patch, sticker, and chamber flag.
Bought the Indiana Handgun Law book next door.
An ESEE - 5 from KnifeLady.
Some 300 Savage ammo, and some 223 varmint rounds.
Two tee shirts from Juggernaught.
Went early on Sunday, wasn't crowded until the end. Took my cousin to his first show, and he loved it. He didn't buy anything, but I'm sure he will next time.
Got there fairly early on Saturday to try and beat the crowd. Ended up leaving around noon because it was filling up. Didn't really plan on buying anything, but left with my first Mosin and 440 rounds of ammo. I'm still kicking myself for leaving a RIA Compact .45 on the table. Being a college student with no money sucks. Hopefully I'll find as good of a deal on it in March.
Was really looking for a Marlin 1894 .44, but the ones available were in the 650-700 range. Retail at Dick's is 549 so no deal there. Did wind up buying 100 paper targets for eight bucks. I thought that was a super deal!
Well for the first time ever, I left with absolutely nothing...
The milsurp offerings this time just weren't really there. Well... nothing I was terribly interested in anyway. If that vendor with the Swiss snipers had shown up again, I was seriously tempted to break out the plastic and bust the bank. I guess it's good for me he didn't.
Oh well... that'll give me the breathing room to finish my current projects and get an FAL receiver ordered.
I got violated by the crowd. I swear, it was so packed in there, there were a few times that the guy behind me got too close to my backside for my comfort.
Other than that, I made out like boozoo. I left with some extra dead president portraits, but nothing exciting.
