Chuck Dixon's "Levon Cade" seriesI thought there was a thread on this already, but could not find it. Perhaps it was cleared in the Great Reset.

This is on my list, but I intend to start with the hobbit, and I think i'll wait til winter. Somehow, LOTR just seems like a winter tale to me. Kinda like the Harry Potter books.
And right now I'm on a Crichton kick. Just finished this...

Its good. I can't remember if I read it before or after Andromeda Strain but I like Crichton's writing style. Vaguely reminds me of Clancy in the sense that he seems to know quite a bit about his subjects and it is informative fiction sometimes.I've seen the movie Andromeda Strain, haven't read the book.
I'm the opposite now. Heard of the movie, but never saw it. I read Jurassic Park, Lost World, and Pirate Latitudes by Crichton last year, and thought I'd hit a few more of his biggies. The book was good.I've seen the movie Andromeda Strain, haven't read the book.
Agreed. Everything he writes seems very well researched, at least to the layman. And he covers a broad range of topics. Its good.
