General Forum Rules


1) IndianaGunOwners.com is viewed by thousands of people a day (not all of them gun owners or even gun-friendly) As a public board we must make a good impression on those who view our community and represent Hoosier Gun Owners in the best possible light. INGO is a family-friendly site and the material posted must remain G-rated. Spamming, trolling, flaming or other personal attacks will not be tolerated.

2) Language that would be inappropriate in the polite company of strangers is unwelcome here. (Inappropriate language in memes included.) Posts that are indecipherable due to the inability to translate thoughts into coherent written statements will be deleted without explanation.

3) Avatars and Signatures are allowed but must be G-rated. Signature size must be appropriate and not distract from the flow of threads.

4) As we can never convey a philosophy through a few rules, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to edit or delete posts and/or to revoke Membership. No Second Chances; No Argument; No Trial; No Way. This includes members who continue to post with the sole intention of disrupting the forum (AKA trolling) in spite of member reports and/or messages from the moderators. At best you may receive one warning from the staff. Political discussions are only allowed in the political forum so please keep this in mind since politically based comments/opinions are typically what cause the types of disruption that caused this rule to be implemented. Simultaneously maintaining multiple accounts/usernames (shill accounts) will result in being banned from INGO.

5) Racially-based threads of any nature are not allowed on IndianaGunOwners.com.
All Indiana Gun Owners should feel comfortable on this forum no matter their race. Everyone is welcome here on INGO and should feel comfortable being associated with this site.

6) Do not post any written content that is not yours on IndianaGunOwners.com without referencing the original source. If posting news articles, content from blogs, or any other content from sites around the web on IndianaGunOwners.com., please just post a comment or summary about the information and include a link to the full article.

7) Religious topics are allowed on IndianaGunOwners.com, but discussion must be conducted in a civil manner that does not discriminate or make others feel uncomfortable due to differences in the way various religions worship or celebrate their beliefs. Everyone is welcome here on INGO and should feel comfortable being associated with this site.



Regarding civil war:

ANY post suggesting or advocating civil war, inciting violence against the government or any other similar post will not be tolerated and will be summarily deleted. This forum is presented (for free) to the members of this board and the owner has asked that posts of that nature not be made.

This board is dedicated to guns and gun-related issues, and NOT as Ground Zero for the Revolution. This issue is now closed for discussion.

This country is divided like I've never seen. The line on the subject is clear, Scutter01 hasn't been here in a LONG time but what he posted still applies.

Probably an uncomfortable topic but do you think we're reaching a point in America where a civil war might happen? I've been hearing/seeing alot on the media/in person where it seems we're all being more divided by what seems to be an unexplainable cause other than personal opinions and egos

You might find more answers in the prepper type threads.

I agree with your "personal opinions and egos" could be the thing that drives a lot of our division. It is rare for someone to back down once they've made a point.

Yep. Everyone needs to be aware that the thread is starting on the line. It will be easy to cross, so tread lightly.
