What would having God in schools done to prevent this?

It was the name of my dog at the time.Odd that you would choose the name of an archangel for your screen name.
A couple years ago Coach testified in support of a bill authored by Jim Lucas that did just that. I was there and testified, Guy Relford was there and testified, Coach came and spoke from the heart.Another reason to home school, and Another reason teachers should be trained and armed. A resource officer cannot be everywhere.
Thankfully there were brave officers who rushed in put themselves on the line and no doubt saved many other children.
I would guess geography may play a huge part. There are quite a few in her building that would be running to their vehicle and I do not mean to leave. My wife’s co teacher is a MJ police officer as well. So I believe there are more out there than what you may think.Your wife must be one of the 5% or so teachers that identify as conservative. There are brave teachers that would die for their kids. However, that is very different than purchasing a handgun, training with it, then having the will to take a person's life with it when pressed. Teachers like your wife are rare in that field. Almost unicorn status.
I've had this conversation with my sister who teaches in a high school. She is mortified at the idea of teachers being allowed to carry in school. I asked her why and her rationale was that she didn't think she could ever bring herself to shoot a student. Even when I explained that might mean said student would be free to continue killing other students in the classroom with no resistance. Her answer didn't change.Your wife must be one of the 5% or so teachers that identify as conservative. There are brave teachers that would die for their kids. One more reason I'm not wired to be in LE. I don't think I could do that part of the job, and truly do appreciate those that can. Bless the indeed.Prayers for the families of those killed, as well as to the responding officers and other first responders having to deal with the aftermath. Can't imagine what that would be like. I'm sure many of them are parents as well.
And then they will continue.Very sad this happened. I was told shootings will increase until a gun ban happens.
It’s a sad reality that some will never overcome this mindset, but also probably a good thing that they elect not to carrry.I've had this conversation with my sister who teaches in a high school. I asked what she would do if it ever happened. All she could muster was a weak, "I'd call the police."
She essentially said she's willing to watch innocent kids die so she wouldn't have to commit an act of violence to stop it. How do you break through to someone with this mindset?
She knows I carry and train regularly. I asked if she'd be OK with me or someone like me carrying in a school if I were a teacher. She still said, "no. Guns don't belong in school."
No **** Sherlock. So what's the plan to stop someone that brings one in with an intent to kill?

How about using our property taxes for that instead of fancy stadiums, swimming pools, etc.? You know that when you say "the federal government to fund", you're saying YOU and WE should fund, right? It’s time for the federal government to fund grants for every school district in the nation to provide an armed trained officer in our schools. There are many retired police and military personnel that would be a good fit for this. Not resource officers but strictly armed trained personnel.
They always blame the gun and not the user bad people will find a way a firearm, a ied or fire or a automobileAnd then they will continue.

I believe you are wise in understanding your limitations. But being a protector is also an honor and a privilege. There are many drawbacks one of the being you get to see humanity at their worse sometimes in their darkest hours, which is often difficult to put aside at the end of the day.One more reason I'm not wired to be in LE. I don't think I could do that part of the job, and truly do appreciate those that can. Bless the indeed.
This is America. Thats your choice. God has been good for me and my family. I'm not saying he directly did anything to help me but living by the 10 commandments did.I try not to have god anywhere.
