Without the magwell you would be in Carry Optics so it would be the widthP320 X-Full, Holosun 509T with the legion grip module.
Leave the magwell on and it would be Limited optics and the length

I’m not shooting for competition though? I’m just trying to enter and go shoot.Without the magwell you would be in Carry Optics so it would be the width

I think you are confusing IDPA and USPSA.I’m not shooting for competition though? I’m just trying to enter and go shoot.
Yes. He was talking about IDPA, not USPSA. There was a tangent upthread.I think you are confusing IDPA and USPSA.
If you show up to a USPSA match you are competing in the division that you pick as far as your scores go. If it is to just shoot the match show up and shoot, don’t worry about the scores.
YES. IT. IS. I actually deleted that comment because I didnt want the argument. Apparently your software cached it. So here goes. It’s not about following the rules. I didn’t even know competition shooting was a real thing until recently. I built my kit as an everyday shooter, military style belt. The typical fudd wears a leather 1.5” with a random kydex holster that provides no real security to anyone around them or themselves. I don’t think that’s safe at all.
I already have a kit I’ve trained in for years, there’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to wear it because I’m not a cop. Mine is more safe than anyone else’s there.
Yeah idk the real difference between the two, I’m just trying to go out and shoot and have fun and people aren’t about me having fun hahahaI think you are confusing IDPA and USPSA.

If you want to shoot your kit as-is, you need to find a discipline that accepts it. And IDPA aint it. Hopefully USPSA will work for you and your kit.
I guess that’s been my problem, I’m not sure who exactly to talk to when it comes to these things..Then I get flammed by old fudds with their leather holsters for even asking lolI shoot whatever I want to shoot at my local IDPA matches and have never seen any instance of a new shooter not being welcomed with open arms even though their equipment doesn't fit the rule book, they may ask you to shoot for zero score. The same holds for the local USPSA matches I am familiar with. Common sense safety still applies (no metal piercing ammo, etc). 8 shot revolver (not IDPA legal) is a lot of fun for IDPA for example.
EDIT: Per a good point from a previous poster it is a good idea to ask first and make sure that the local match folks are not sticklers about things. I haven't seen it but others have.
I don't remember flaming you! Oh wait I am old and use leather holsters but am not a "fud."I guess that’s been my problem, I’m not sure who exactly to talk to when it comes to these things. Then I get flamed by old fuds with their leather holsters for even asking lol
Wasn’t referring to you lolI don't remember flaming you! Oh wait I am old and use leather holsters but am not a "fud."
Actually Grebler is wrong about his 8 shot revolver, at least the last time I looked at that part of the rule book. It is kind of weird and does not make a lot of sense but the revolver is IDPA legal in itself. However to be legal it can only be loaded with six rounds. I know, who would actually only load six rounds. Jim.

Not to worry, I do not offend easily and If I think something will offend I try not to post. Well that is here, on the book of faces I really don't mind being offensive. Jim.Wasn’t referring to you lol
You can always go watch a match or two. See if they are what you might be interested in? Follow the shooting sports section for matches within your driving range. Take you eye and ear pro.
Also, YouTube has a ton of USPSA videos...
Not so much. Smith and Wesson 929 , 6.5" barrel. IDPA rule A.5.5.6 "Barrel length must be 4 1/4 or less" , it would also be tough to meet the cover garment rules, and my holster is illegal and so is my belt.Actually Grebler is wrong about his 8 shot revolver, at least the last time I looked at that part of the rule book. We all know the real reason idpa allows pcc!Not so much. Smith and Wesson 929 , 6.5" barrel. IDPA rule A.5.5.6 "Barrel length must be 4 1/4 or less" , it would also be tough to meet the cover garment rules, and my holster is illegal and so is my belt.
Interestingly the IDPA rules folks were able to scientifically determine that a longer barrel would get you killed in a real gun fight and unlike pcc guns revolvers are not invisible to bad guys so they all have to be concealed.
Agree with the latter part of your post and that it is usually a very good bet to assume that I don't know what I am talking about .
Market dictates as the tail wags the dog. I started my new project build for Defensive and Practical Shooting. An Open Bazooka and Limited One Rocket Launcher. Rules should allow it by the time they are ready. We all know the real reason idpa allows pcc!
It’s the same reason they allow, carry optics, weapon mounted flashlights and appendix carry!
Because USPSA allows it!
Because a PCC is a viable home defense weapon? We all know the real reason idpa allows pcc!

There is something about a 12 gauge though that is stone cold comforting.Nah, if you miss, that projectile goes next door. Still prefer 5.56
You could not have said it better. There is something about a 12 gauge though that is stone cold comforting.
The Ft Wayne is at Bass and Bucks, correct?USPSA in fort wayne and north porter county. Rumored to be coming back to Warsaw
