I think the 64 g thumb drives are out.

Stating that I have patriot thumb drives. I got 4g free on black friday. (I had to pay for it and the check for the rebate came in last week.) i also have 2 of the 8 gb models. Nothing special here just plastic drives but for the price of free and under 5 dollars each cheap and they work. Just buy a couple of extra's. As the bigger one get introduced i have a tendance to get the smaller cheap ones.

Mainly move documents around on them. So music for changing taste's ect/

Stating that you also might want to check out DROPBOX> A kind of cloud storage system.

I am a big fan of the Sandisk cruzer line of USB drives.
Cruzer USB Flash Drive by SanDisk

    Couple of reasons.
    1. They seem to be fairly wash proof. I have a few of them that I have accidentally left in pants pockets. And find them in the dryer after a wash / dry cycle. Only had one fail to work after that. And 4 other's so far have continued to work. One has accidentally gotten the wash / dry treatment a few times.
    2. One unit. No cap to lose
    3. The preloaded carpware is relatively easy to completely wipe away.

Also a big fan of the following software for my USB drives.
    1. truecrypt
    2. RedNotebook I can run the windows version off the usb key, and there is a linux version that works exactly the same. So I can make my own secure journal / notes on things.
    3. Calibre - Don't run it from the USB. Though that's possible in Windows. I do use it to manage dictionaries of 'content' on the USB drive though.

Don't really have a good backup software figured out yet. Drag and drop seems to work so far when I make backups of my usb drive(s) to others.
