I can't think of a judge who let a murder trial get more out of hand. I suppose I am dating myself. The trial started when I was a car salesman and ended during my first year of law school- a 9+ month trial is...insane.You are dating yourself.

The unfired cartridge, found between the bodies at the murder scene,....according to the state lab, came from Allen's gun which was found during a search of his house.....so that's not nothing."We demand a speedy trial!"
"We don't have enough time to prepare for trial."
"We found an unfired bullet at the crime scene!"
"The victims weren't shot."
Circle, meet Jerk.
Seriously, the court (Judge?) needs to call both sides. Cards on the table, fellas. Put up or shut up. If we must wait until Oct. '24, so be it. But any delay(s) beyond that would really appear absurd, and that's saying something when it comes to this case.
Haven't followed up on all this but I thought that the science behind the extractor marks was weak at best? The unfired cartridge, found between the bodies at the murder scene,....according to the state lab, came from Allen's gun which was found during a search of his house.....so that's not nothing.
Maybe, maybe not. I know 2 attorneys who have talked about that...and their podcast sycophants. In some cases it is very strong, in others, no so much. Generally, it is quite strong to identify the type and even model of gun. Sometimes it is strong in identifying the specific gun and certainly excluding a specific gun. I don't know how clear the evidence is in this case- no one outside the case does no matter what they say.Haven't followed up on all this but I thought that the science behind the extractor marks was weak at best?
I know there is one firearms manufacturer whose pistols leave scratch marks on the casing that read "Hi-Points Suck", but I cannot remember which one. That is interesting. I want to learn more about this... probably not during this case but in a more calm environment.
Kel-Tec?I know there is one firearms manufacturer whose pistols leave scratch marks on the casing that read "Hi-Points Suck", but I cannot remember which one.
I would like to know if they found ammo with the gun, and if so, was it the same as the unfired round from the scene or not.
WOW!!!Remember Carroll County closes at noon on Wednesday.
If close on Wednesday . . . 5 weeks including jury selection.
If not close on Wednesday, 4 weeks.
I do not see how Carroll County will afford this. They have bounced bond checks to me.
I did not and it had to be 20 years now.WOW!!!
You may want to consider having that framed and mounted on your office wall, may come in handy as evidenced in the future. Or not, just a thought.
Looks like he is on death row already.

High Point?Kel-Tec?

The dark side of true crime
Thoughtful true crime creators can build a loyal and large listener base, but for some, resisting the siren song of shock journalism and quick audience growth is too enticing to ignore.www.foxnews.com
It's not just the true crime journalists...From the linked article:
“… but for some, resisting the siren song of shock journalism and quick audience growth is simply too enticing to ignore.”
Umm, I don’t think that sentence actually says what the authors meant to say. Got a little carried away with a siren song of their own, I think.
