    Hi,

Does anyone have these anymore. This is getting to be the time of year for them. I remember when I was a kid you would see a fair number of them. But I haven't seen them for a while. Maybe I am just not looking. Or there aren't as many. Does anyone know of any coming up?

Talk to Steve at The Gun Den in shelbyville in, he has a few turkey shoot custom shotguns <super heavy barrels etc> and he mentioned that there were quite a few still going on.

The Five Points Conservation Club on the South East side of INDY still has one every year. As a matter of fact, they are having one this coming Saturday and Sunday. Believe they are shooting stillboard and trap. They usually have turkey, ham, and bacon to win.

It's located on Five Points Road, North of East Thompson Road.

Thanks for the info, a couple of buddies of mine invited me to this one since they know I like to shoot. Never done one before, but will be there Saturday with 870 in hand.

Any suggestion for what load/shot I should get?

In my expereince in the past most of them provide you the ammo to shoot so no one would have an advantage with shot size and load.

Sand Creek Conservation Club south of Columbus hosts them just about every weekend during the winter. They provide the ammo. Basically you stick the full choke in the gun, load er up and pull the trigger. Closest little BB to the dot wins. About as exciting as a scratch off lottery ticket, but it is something to do.

The Elwood Conservation Club has one every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. if I recall.

    At least they used to.
