Half of us will stand guard while the other half builds.
Sounds like a plan.
Only a very small percentage of this country has ever "stood guard" and I doubt if the big talkers (like Trump) ever would if it REALLY came down to that.

Yeah what we need are politicians who are not posers, that don't say stuff like American leadership or America winning. we don't need chicken hawks we need chickens.
What we really need is a politician who talks about being under sniper fire, having to spiral in in a helicopter, talks about spontaneous riots, and never wiped the dust off her server.
I would support his opponent because I believe he is a dangerous man. Yeah, he may ease the nerves of some because of his new 2A stand, but he will flip. Also, I have no doubt he is among those who like to play war with real lives and has NEVER stepped up to the plate. I realize the same goes for the others, but I believe Trump has less capacity to do the right thing in this area. As it relates to any of our social ills, if President Obama was labeled by some as divisive, I cannot see how those same people cannot see the same, or even worse, in Trump. Nah, this guy is just pushing the envelope as far as he can, just to see who follows. Unfortunately, there are many staying in his corner. I'll just pray the other two branches are strong enough to deal with anyone who is elected.
If that's the person you want in office, but I wouldn't want that person either.

Now that you have come full circle...read my post again except slower this time.
I'm Not all in for Anyone. I like the Donald, Carson Cruz and Rubio. My very first thought months ago was a Cruz-Rubio ticket. I still feel that they are Probably the most suited for the job. I will vote for the Republican ticket over anything the Democrats can field.
I would rather have a Jingoist than a wimp.

I've been all in for Trump since day 1.
Worst case, if he turns out to be a failure, he's a blond, white, male. This means he can be impeached easily. No one is going to be risking their entire political career to speak out against him.
Love Rand to death, but Rand doesn't have what it takes to beat Hillary. He has too short of a temper and lacks leadership abilities. This is evident to everyone, instinctively, which is why he has never polled very well.
No thanks. The last thing we need is to **** away precious resources on another pointless crusade.I'm Not all in for Anyone. I like the Donald, Carson Cruz and Rubio. Okay, I went REALLY slow this time. Hold on...
The rhetoric coming from Trump should very troubling to any American. Even other Republicans are calling him a fascist. He is FAR and away the only candidate that I will go to the polls simply to vote against.
This topic, in my opinion, has taken a very fascinating and worthwhile turn. It shows the difference, and more virtuous, mindset of conservative/libertarian/limited government and dare I say traditional viewpoint versus the big government/big tent socialist/progressive secular statist mindset. To the former, every election, every elected, every vote, every law threatens what freedom we (have given up and) still have left. To the latter, no amount of freedom usurped can be enough. To them usurpation of freedom is deemed fair, socially just or necessary because (1) they believe people cannot govern themselves (2) they want to control others (3) they want to be part of the plutocracy, oligarchy and state that gets to make decisions that will ultimately control.
Conservative/libertarian/limited government individuals are always more leery of candidates and they should be whereas the statist takes what they can get because if they can get some liberty usurped its better than no liberty usurped. We have to sprint, they have the luxury of time. We have to be full bore and constantly on watch they will take victory by erosion.
A couple final points. The only person that will have your best interest at all times is you. With that being said, and some may disagree, but sitting at home and not taking part in the 2016 Federal election is just like going into that voting station and pushing the button for whatever Democrat statist that worships at the altar of big government is nominated.
I have not picked a candidate. There are four or five I will gladly cast my vote for. I have zero reservations about one candidate, the others, have not expressed something I would like to hear or have done something in the past I have not liked. Just like Gov. Huckabee (who is not one of the four or five) said everyone on the GOP primary stage would be vastly superior to the vacuous, vapid individual(s) in the executive branch currently. I also am 100% confident ALL would do a better job than what the party of big(ger) government will offer as their nominee.
Whether one likes Trump or not, it is refreshing to have American Exceptionalism in the form of "Make America Great Again" as the culture of a campaign. We are at a threshold where, for the first time in the history of the republic, current generations face the prospect of being less prosperous than each successive generation. Entrepreneurial and self employed individuals (of which I am both) may not subscribe to that for their children, but people that earn a living and support their families working for someone or someone else's business could face that harsh reality.

Que, if Trump is the nominee, and Hildabeast on the other side, I would submit we need to consider coattails and the length thereof. Would a Trump presidency also bring us a lot of new blood in the Senate and the House and/or would a Hillary [STRIKE]election[/STRIKE] coronation bring us a surfeit of more gov't/less freedom same old same old. Its not just about the feature but the undercard too.
Think of how fast that border wall could go up if the American people had the go ahead to build it.
