What happens if he tells you that you can carry? Are you going to buy those 2 carts full of toys?I'm thinking about going in and filling a cart or two, taking them to the register, letting them ring it all up, then ask for a manager and ask what the policy is. When he tells me, just say "oh, I'm sorry I guess I won't be making a purchase here today after all" and leave.
That's not what they're afraid of. They're afraid of guns that go off by themselves. Yes, it's irrational, but it is what it is. They're afraid that someone's gun is going to fall out of its holster or something, it'll go off, and some kid is gonna get hurt.
.
How many times has a "No firearms Allowed" sign at the door stopped you from entering unless you were being electronically screened? Just out of curiosity. Might make an interesting poll question.
How many of those shootings were by law abiding citizens with a ltch? This is not understandable to be gun shy. Criminals will carry and shoot when they choose. If they are that concerned over past shootings, why are there no police officers posted at their stores?Concealed means concealed. On the TRUS side, tho, they've had a number of shootings there over the years, by insane shoppers on Black Fridays. I could see where they'd be gun shy.

my question is - can they do that?
They can just like you can put a "no gun" sign in your own house.
But that's not a law and it's not illegal to carry there.
I just dont pay attention to signs.I know where I can and cannot carry according to the law, not according to some people's signs.
You can carry there but you would have to leave if they ask you.
That is of course if you open carry.
