My American Classic Commander should be in at my LGS :):. It will be my first 1911 and I am really looking forward to getting it. I have wanted a 1911 type pistol for a long time and after looking one of these over about a year ago I told myself that when funds allowed I would get one. Well that time has come. My whole life all I ever really shot were .22's and shotguns but in the last couple of years I got into centerfires and pistols. Had a nice Contender in .35 Rem but sold it and bought a new S&W 686. I like it so much better. The Contender was nice but not really my cup of tea. Now I decided it was 1911 time and it would be nice to have a carry pistol too if needed. I'll post pics after i get it.

Carefull. The 1911 addiction is a slippery slope. One quickly turns to 3 which quickly turns to 12 then before you know it your selling other guns to buy more 1911s. Ask me how I know.

    Congrats, on the new piece.

The gun didn't show up today like I was told it would. Bummer..
But I found a nice used but like new 1894 .357 for a good price so I brought it home with me. See long gun thread.
Hopefully the American Classic will come in Monday. We'll see..

Yea I know all about this addiction. I have been involved in airguns for the last several years and have been thru 50-60 or so. I just sold a high dollar one to finance this 1911 and my 1894 plus another airgun.
