I'm sure the government had just cause to put the kid on the terrorist list. He was probably carrying explosive chemicals in his sippy cup or explosives in his "pull ups". I think the next logical step would be a cavity search. Our government just does not make mistakes. :D

Awesome how they cannot correct the error after several years and multiple incidents.

I bet the guy that the kid is being mistaken for is innocent too. lol

Probably. I'm going to make an educated guess and say that most people on the list aren't actually guilty of any crimes, they're just involved in "suspicious activity", such as having Ron Paul bumper stickers, or stockpiling food.

Are you guys arguing against the idea of a terrorist watch list, or just the way it's administrated?

I will go with administrated on this one.

There appears to be little to no oversight or accountability
if something like the kid being on there is left to continue.

Wait is the .gov folks, I answered my own statement.
    "no oversight or accountability"

It goes without saying that the administration of the lists is far out of control.

I'll take it a step further and say that I don't think government watch lists can exist in a free society.

The lists, in and of themselves, facilitate a surveillance society that yields less liberty to some, based "terror tips" rather than due process.

If a person is suspected of breaking a law, then an investigation should be conducted, and due process used. The accused should be guaranteed a chance to mount legal defense, and clear his guilty-until-proven-innocent name. This should be done on a "terrorist" by "terrorist" basis.

Think in terms of a murder investigation. There is an actual crime being investigated, or actual threats made. The accused is not put on a Murder Watch List! He is investigated as an individual, evidence is presented, and his rights are preserved or revoked using due process.
