Today's "You can't make this sh-t up" episode is brought to by the modern education system.

It's a first hand experience as told by the direct witness... ME.

So, being old, fat, and crippled... the wife & I sometimes hire high school kids to come over and help me do stuff around the house. We pay $10 an hr, cash. Run the weedeater, pick up sticks in the yard, things like that. She's a teacher's aid that works with learning disabled kids, and many of them come from crappy homes so they need money. These kids are just a bit slower than normal, not the real bad ones. That's another department.

Still, I was absolutely knocked for a loop today. I was wearing a T-shirt I got online from the Hodge Twins that said "1776" on it. One kids askes me.

    "What happened that year?"

He HAD to be kidding right? a 17 year old high school kid???
Nope. Dead serious. He didn't know.
I went to the other kid... "Tell him what happened this year" I said pointing at my chest.

Sure enough... she didn't know either.

"Are you sh---ing me? Neither of you? This is the year our country was born!"

His answer... "Why should I care?"

It took 100% of my self control not to slap the kid.

I realize these kids come from messed up homes.
I realize they are not exactly honor students... but holy crap.

I am really starting to doubt the chances of the survival of the USA.

YES... we had a history lesson as we worked.

You can thank politician idiots like Jennifer McCormick who was the superintendent of education in Indiana for the abysmal “education” that these kids receive in places like Indianapolis and other school systems in the state.

Now this idiot Jennifer McCormick is running for governor of Indiana. If she couldn’t improve education in Indiana as a Republican what makes this moron think she can govern and improve Indiana as a Democrap?

God save us from this idiot and the Democraps!:bowdown:
