When I acted like that as a kid, I got the belt.
But now you're not supposed to do that.
Seems now we have kids not growing up.
When I acted like that as a kid, I got the belt.
Suck it up, Buttercup....You've got a mask on.
I wear a mask if I am expect to be within six feet of people I do not know. Wearing a mask does not limit my ability to shop, travel or visit with people. I don't agree that wearing a mask infringes on my freedom. Wearing a mask increases my freedom of movement.

So much truth here.So to sum this up...
In some unknown county on an unknown date but two or more months ago; which would put it around here on the steepest rise of cases:

A person who is all horny about mask-wearing attended a reception with 90-100 people where there was drinking and dancing along with a DJ, so obviously people would be fiddling and removing masks all evening as they were drinking and sucking face but super-cautious mask man chose to attend despite the dramatic rise in state-wide cases.
Miraculously, the DJ was pre-symptomatic and infected 6 people who "lost" their masks and briefly interacted with the DJ when requesting their favorite hits as they boogied on the dance floor but those were the only ones to get Covid because obviously DJ's are super-spreaders and there is no other logical reason. No other details will be provided out of fear of "doxing" but it seems like......

As far as seatbelts and airbags, I don't recall mentioning or debating them, but lets go...
Seatbelts were not required in automobiles until 1968, 60 years after the Model T was made available. There was plenty of data available to justify the decision to include them. Seatbelts were not required to be worn in Indiana until 1987. With the additional 19 years of traffic fatality and injury data now totaling 79 years, it was a decision made supported by facts and calculatable, measurable data.
Mask data regarding Covid is like nailing Jello to the wall. There is no area where it seems to be successful, nor was it even supported by scientists, including your fuhrer, Dr. Fauci, and CDC who said you do not need to wear a mask, then said you do because you are killing everyone else when you don't.....Fauci must hate these folks:

Folks that are diligently submitting and wearing their mask (even when alone in the car) still seem to get it. Spouses that sleep in the same bed as someone that is positive seem to not get it. People requesting a song seem to get it, but spending hours together in a vehicle don't...... Maybe we should all be wearing seatbelts and carrying airbags when in public rather than masks.....
I've long given up on trying to convince people to trust sources other than what they want to believe, even on things that they could verify for themselves. We have people here who claim that masks do nothing. I'm guessing they think it's magic that a mask is damp after being worn, because it certainly couldn't have caught anything that was exhaled. I'm not going down that road, even if it's the option most likely to sway more people. INGO posting can't my full-time job.The anti-authoritarian bent. You don't see that as an issue of distrust? Of course they reject evidence that goes against preconceptions. That's natural. That's the default human behavior. You have to ovveride that NOT to. And there's plenty of literature that says trust is the key to getting someone to change their minds about something, NOT belittling them or trying to shame them.
And then you try to simplify it into terms you can use to justify it. I agree that freedom comes with responsibility. And I'd bet you Bug's paycheck that if people believed that masks were useful, and yes, also believed that they're not a big government control mechanism, they'd wear them voluntarily. I suspect you're a bit stuck in your own world. You're frustrated because you can't convince people of the truth you think you know, and then throw your hands up and decide it must be because they're all immoral. You don't have to think badly of the people you disagree with. But you still choose to.
The WHO weighs in... how does the "all things for the mask" crowd feel about this one?
Don't you trust them?Weighs? If present tense is used shouldn't the date be sometime this year?
I think he meant, "That post is about ten months old. You should have wrote 'the WHO weighed in'."Don't you trust them?
Come, join us.

Only for flat earthers
There's nothing more progressive than reinstating a 294 year old woman to keep doing the same thing.I saw a news blurb that said pelosi already won another term as speaker.
You may have gotten elected to Congress by raging against the machine but once you are there you don't really want change that may reduce your earning potential. AOC voted for Pelosi to be Speaker. There's nothing more progressive than reinstating a 294 year old woman to keep doing the same thing.
She did, after making provisions for covid infected members to come in and vote.I saw a news blurb that said pelosi already won another term as speaker.
If wearing a mask increases freedom of movement, then freedom has been infringed.I wear a mask if I am expect to be within six feet of people I do not know. Wearing a mask does not limit my ability to shop, travel or visit with people. I don't agree that wearing a mask infringes on my freedom. Wearing a mask increases my freedom of movement.
