I have always decried the confusion of mask efficacy b/c of the political element.
Even if it is of limited value, b/c of the wife, I have been diligent & take that limited option & mask up for her.
I took her to the emergency room just 2 weeks ago with heart pain & with her brittle diabetes & advanced age (she's 2 years older than me ), so she lives on the edge like many.
Went back to church since nearly everyone wears a mask (wife doesn't yet since a few don't & very large crowds).
last Monday evening we just started going back to a family Bible study (everyone had been Zooming) where only my wife & I are still wearing masks.
I just went back to a 6 am Old Men's Prayer breakfast last Tuesday.
Some of them (or family members) have had Covid & been hospitalized.
Note: They said my punishment for not having been there was I had to lead the devotionals for a month.
My professional Men's Friday 6 am Bible study where we have military, medical & business owners (12-20 guys) didn't wear masks last year since we were outside (I did for the wife, though), but when we went inside everyone masked up.
Masking will probably be coming to an end soon, but for the wife's peace of mind, I'll continue masking for her.
Yes, I do feel a little stupid sometimes, but I want the wife to have peace of mind over my looking stupid.
You'll be glad to know when the wife & I walk or bicycle, even she doesn't wear a mask.
That, my friend, is the correct attitude.
