Wasn't that Red Shirt guy on TV the only one who had a reliable product?I really like the idea of 12g magazine fed shotguns.
But from what I've seen, they are heaviest most unreliable platform this side of the Khyber Pass.
Of the 10 or so examples I've seen fielded only 1 or 2 were functional and that only after years of breakage, tuning and testing. They either fail to feed, fail to extract or both.
YMMV, but IMO if they lived up to the expectation you would see many more of them in 3-gun Open classes.

Wow thanks for the read. Had not thought about the issues with the mag. Deffantly something to keep in mind.I really like the idea of 12g magazine fed shotguns.

Have you had problems with the Mags as stated above or do you keep them unloaded? Most require a minimum velocity.
I have a Citadel Boss 25. Bought it more as a novelty but it's fun to shoot. Had a few cycling issues in the 1st 50 rounds. Since then it's been flawless. I run 3" shells with a velocity of 1500fps

Maverick 88 12ga pump truly is just as good when it comes to reliability.I'd stay clear of stuff like that.
If you want a semi auto, get a benelli M4 or beretta 1301. If that's too steep, then go with a pump like a mossberg 590 or benelli supernova. In the land of shotguns, there's not really a good "cheap" semi auto.
Plus, do you really want to give your money to turkey... of all places?
I have a saiga 12 and did all of the wacky things to it that were popular back in the day. Managed to get it running birdshot without a problem. But if I leave a magazine loaded for more than a day or 2, the shells deform and will no longer chamber. Magazine fed shotguns are not a good choice.
Can add in the escort 12ga. Super reliable after about 100rds thru it. I wanted a maverick but none in stock at the time, so oldest daughter got me the escort.Maverick 88 12ga pump truly is just as good when it comes to reliability.
Or you can say you get more than you pay for with a Maverick 88.
