Yeah he was not happy... Weighign merely 70 lbs, and my asking him to haul 50lb bags of rock and dirt in the crawl was just not his favorite thing to do... I am surprised he was not smiling from being happy to finally be done.

Lots of it. This sump pump has been a long time coming. With all the rain we had, there was lots of water down there. Being we were digging in the lowest spot, it was not the funnest of things to be doing. Overall not really that bad. Afterall, not a whole lot of thought is required for digging holes... but leverage is a pita and the deeper we got the harder it was

I agree with that concept. I always tried to keep it close without owing. This is the first time I've ever been left owing on my federal return. I just wasn't prepared for it and it sucks.

I feel your pain.
I sold a rental, and was expecting a big hit... I usually get a refund. I don't condone the govt having my money, but join the camp in that's it's better to received than to give when we talk taxes... I try to keep it at a minimum, so it's never anything major...

luckily this year, even with the house sale, my taxes owed aren't near as bad as I had thought they would be... I lucked out.
