Thank goodness no one had a gun and tried to stop him. Someone could have been killed.

Let's get this over with. Yes he is entitled to a fair trial. Give it to him, then let's not waste on any more of the citizen's money. Walk out the back door of the court house and shoot him in the alley.

    I can tell you, this.....

if the story I read, is true, he is NOT insane.....

He picked that theater on purpose..... gun free zone.....

He drove by 2-3 other theaters, to get to the one he killed those people .....

He's 'nuts', but he's NOT 'mentally incapacitated'.

Few of these loons actually are, and the 'defense' rarely works.

This ^^^ is what many people don't understand.

I have driven a guy who is psychotic, he sees things that are not there. They have told him to do bad things. He "knows" they are not real on one level but on another seeing them all of the time can be very influential. He gets medicine once per week to keep the visions away. He has told me he loves his medicine now because there are almost no side effects and they keep the visions away.

Were he to go off his meds he is highly intelligent and trained in electronics. Anything he might do while off the meds wouldn't be entirely his fault as he cannot control the visions, but just because he has visions doesn't mean his logic, knowledge and memory are gone.

The really frightening thing is that he once told me his medication is "court ordered" due to a violent outbreak he had once. However, many mentally ill folks who were going places such as Park Center were no longer receiving their anti-psychotic medication due to budget cuts. So PC had to do the best they could at "guessing" at who might be a risk and who wasn't. Those who were "guessed/professionally diagnosed" as low risk stopped receiving medication. I hope they guessed right...
