Interesting footnote here: I was told by a school system mechanic at one time that the reason school buses do not have seat belts is because there is no structure rigid enough to place them. The seats must break away in case of impact to prevent a face smash injury, preventing adding structure rigid enough to attach a belt to. How's that for a catch 22?
