Serious question. Why was the Cruz camp pushing for all closed primaries? That would ensure a Republican will never win the White House.
At least the nominee would be a Republican?

This is actually a good point. The spectacle here is nothing compared to the RP meltdown. This isn't new. Remember what they did to the Ron Paul delegates years ago?
I think primaries should be closed. This is the party deciding its candidate.Serious question. Why was the Cruz camp pushing for all closed primaries? That would ensure a Republican will never win the White House.
Again. I am with them in spirit and principle.
But, at some point, is this really helping? Or is the point to emotionally punctuate the collapse and division of the larger Republican party?
Frankly, would be more interesting if they voted their conscience when the vote actually happened to see how the convention leaders would respond.
At the risk of echoing Bobby Knight, at some point you have to relax and get it over with. (And yes, I feel icky even saying that.)

Not taken as a dig.Don't really want this to be a dig, T. Lex, but this is kind of how we (Trumpers) have seen NeverMattered all along
Trump is technically a republican ...

Watched some abbreviated footage from the cluster **** that is the RNC. Guess Roberts Rules means nothing to these folks, they'll let the Trumpers drown out call for a vote, (which is supported by the Rules) in an effort to ram Trump down the party's throat. Sheesh. So much for rules and decorum.

Ram Trump down their throats? Um, that kinda happened in the Primary. Trump ended up with, not a majority, but a plurality of votes.

You left out: against 16 opponents.
