I'm not sure if it's one single person who bought it or a company.
Sometimes companies invest in that kind of things to make a profit later on.

It would lose all value if you fire it I think, especially if the last person to fire the gun was Al Capone himself.
You would also risk breaking the gun, or damaging the finish while you take it appart to clean it after.
