you weren't asking me, but I prefer just a standard AR stock. Hubby tried several different stocks on my AR and I didn't care for them.
with that said, I'd go with the STR if I was to change out

I really do like it though. I should've brought my replica mag too so it looks identical to an M1 Carbine.

Oh, and the sling that comes with the oiler is NOT a USGI style sling like we used at the Appleseed
