yeah I field strip them when I do clean them. It just means be more careful and don't spill anything.

If you field strip it, why would solvent be close to the frame at all? Isn't the pink just on the frame and not the slide?

yes the paint is just on the frame. Because I sit at the table get all my cleaning supplies ready. Strip the gun at the table. Spills are the biggest concern.
