you mean they don't have to help fix the machine!?!?!


when I worked at the mill. if the machine went down the operators had to clock out while the machine was down or they could help the millwrights fix the machine and continue to get paid.

thats the way it use to be here ,but now these younger people think alls their suppose to do is punch the button and if it dont start then they just stand around or wander off to the rr or lunch room .

Cattle prods. They break the machine and can't fix it themselves, they get the cattle prod!!!!

i've walked up on machines that were making some god awful noise and asked the operator ,cant you hear that ,they'll reply oh ya but its not my job to look and see what it is

Never took it away --about 18 years ago we use to get a 1/2 lunch ,as time went by they did away with that but kept the room with vending machines in it .
