Hey MM what are the metal plates with the holes in them?
I didn't quite understand what it was.

From the Spyderco WTC knife description-

Making the knife extraordinary is an inlay of the Twin Towers skyline cut from a steel girder retrieved from World Trade Center Tower One it is set flush into the handle.

They are the pieces of steel from the WTC that the inlays for the knife were cut from. 3 inlays were cut out of each of those pieces. There were only 2,819 knives made, which means only 940 of these blanks. And I've got 2 of them.:rockwoot:

I've gotta say Gail Glesser might be one of the coolest ladies I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Her respect and gratefulness for our military, fire, police, EMS, etc. is amazing.

    Oh ok.
I didn't know about this knife.
Looks like it comes in a wooden box.
Im not a big fan of the look of the knife or of that kind of blade though.
But that would still be a cool piece to own.

i personally despise serrated blades. if i wanted a hack saw, id use one.

Yeah im not a fan of serrated blades either but at least I think fully serrated blades are better than just half serrated ones where you just dont have enough serrations to do anything.

this is true. i have a knife with a blade like such.. have no real use for it. i did use it to shave my door a bit. it was swelling up with moisture and not shutting right.. so i took care of it..
