I also dont know why threads on US politics dont turn into anti-US threads that quick with jokes on dead soldiers and such.

I have nothing against French jokes, I think that some are actually funny, but I dont see how some people find it funny all the time no matter what's the subject.
On one thread I stated that I have sexy legs (I know I know) and another member posted a picture of frog legs, I think it was funny.
But you also have cases like in a thread a few months ago about 4 French soldiers who got shot by a terrorist before a shooting in a Jewish school in France who killed 3 little kids, a guy showed up to make jokes about the French military.
If I were to make jokes like that like some of those members do I would have been banned from INGO a long time ago.

yeah, easier to joke about more serious things when they aren't close to you or didn't really affect you. Also some use making jokes as a coping method.

At least you know they were trying to make joke, even if they suck at it.

That goes for any political forum, anywhere. I dont like arguing over the internet but will on occasion. I wont even thik about arguong in a politcal or religious thread. It's not worth my time or effort.
