AR pistols really bug me because of the ridiculous stock thing.
You cant legally put a stock on them but you can still use the buffer tube to rest your cheek and shoulder on the gun.
What's the deal with that besides being a silly law?

Why do you like 9mm AR pistol V8?
Is it just for the cost of ammo?
Why not a 9mm AR rifle then?

I've sent in the Form 1, as soon as I get my stamp back there will be a stock put on it and it will become a Short-barreled rifle.

The reason I built it as a pistol first is so I can shoot it now and use it while I wait for my stamp to come back. I think AR Pistols are hideous, even mine.

I agree, it's crazy. Soooo, an AR with a 16" or 20" barrel is okay, yet an AR with an 11" barrel is deadly???? Makes no sense.

    I agree.

But you can still kinda shoot it like it has a stock right now, right? :dunno:

You just dont hold it with two hands like a pistol without using your cheek or shoulder.

I've shot it both ways, the tube really needs another inch on it for it to be comfortable like a rifle.

But yes, the law is really silly and quite dumb.

Yeah I dont see why you need to register one and not the other.
Im against all kind of registration for guns, but in countries like France where all guns have to be registered at least I can see the logic behind it even if I dont agree with it.
But in the US I just dont see ANY logic behind most gun laws. :dunno:

A pistol AR doesn't need to be registered, and you add a stock it becomes a SBR that is a dangerous weapon that needs to be registered. :dunno:

Im glad im not the onlyone who thinks that. :yesway:
I thought I missed something at first.

Cant you get a longer buffer tube without it becoming a stock?
I see some AR pistols with cheek pads and stuff that kind look like stocks and I dont see what doesn't make them a rifle with a stock.
