Thanks. It would mean quitting my current (sucky) job for a two-month position. Big decision. But I haven't been offered the job yet, so a bit premature to speculate, I guess.

Oof... That sounds like a tough gamble. Are you hoping to make the temp permanent, or just use it as a life preserver to get out of the sucky now?

There's a pretty strong chance that the temp will NOT lead to anything permanent at that school since it's just a maternity leave. But summer is the season for hiring new teachers for the fall.

The Mrs. got her start with a maternity leave position. Finished off the school year for that teacher, then the next year she was supposed to get another maternity leave for a different teacher. The school offered her her own classroom instead. She's on her 6th or 7th year now.

I quite glad that I don't have to fill out a time sheet anymore. That was one of my least favorite aspects of public accounting.

[STRIKE]My goal[/STRIKE] Their goal for me is 85% billable. I haven't hit that since last year sometime...but for the majority of last year I was well over 100% so I guess it all comes out in the wash.

Summer weather will probably improve that, yes?
