Insanely busy in the ER from about noon-7pm. We had to go on bypass at 7:00 (not accepting ambulances because we didn't have any more beds in the hospital to put them in).

That sounds crazy. Was it accidents or the heat? or just a mix of all sorts of stuff?

I haven't seen dad since I came home Thursday so I have just had updates from siblings that are with him. It sounds like he is doing okay. Still really restless at night but Friday night, he at least stayed in his room and didn't try to leave. I am picking mom up late tomorrow morning and taking her with me when I go down. My sister that is there now will bring her home and I am staying until Tuesday evening.

If we see 40 patients per 8-hr shift, that's a busy day. From 3-7 pm we had already seen 31, and that was just the first half of the shift.
