    I'm sure it's harder on a gun than brass...just in a pinch back after Newtown. I've got myself a nice 9mm stash now...but always addign when I can

    Most guns are designed around brass ammo. The materials are designed to get max life if dealing with brass. Steel will have a life shortening effect on components.
    There are many who will argue this and I know it is useless to conflict but metallurgy is just that.

    No arguing here. I've only used it when I was cheap or couldn't find anything else. I'll be more wary of it in the future. I may as well take the advice of people with more experience than me.
