    Hey Mom.....Brakes fixed???

Brakes are fixed. Money transferred out of her account to cover the parts and I made sure she understands just how much money hubby saved her by doing this for her. He also changed her air cleaner filter and fixed her turn signal. I honestly can't believe her car still starts and runs. Hubby saw the mileage and just shook his head. Just under 220K on it. She paid $1200 for it two years ago and it is not going to last forever so we plan to have a chat with her about her plans for saving up for a replacement.

Of course, then on the way back from pizza he asked how many miles are on my truck. Ummmm....197,266 or something like that. Definitely over 197K but it had 132K on it when we bought it in 1999. I figure I should get at least another 100K out of it.

If it will run they will drive it.
Young folk tend to kick the can down the road and then freak out when the can turns into a cement block and will not kick anymore. I did it at that age but I could fix stuff myself.
Are you saying your Suburban has 197K on it.....Really.
