Well he took it from one of gendarmes. At first they were called for something not serious.
They use retention holsters but it looks like that didn't change anything.
They even say that the guy was probably drunk.
    They should ban retention holsters.

    That really does suck.

So does France have the death penalty?

    Not since 1981.

I just dont get how it's possible to take the gun from one officer, shoot her, and shoot a second one (who also had a vest), without the second drawing her gun or shooting at the attacker.
They were attacked by a single drunk guy. :dunno:

Yeah it looks like the second one didn't return fire, not she if she drew her gun or not.
I know that their training sucks when it comes to using their guns.
They have a mendatory training where they have to go to the range 2 times each year and shoot 25 rounds each time.
Yep, just 50 rounds a year.
Some can train more if they want but they dont have to, so the ones who are not "into guns" dont. :dunno:
I see both civilian shooters and police officers at my local range, all the civilians are always better shots than the police officers.
The scary thing is that they also have full auto rifles since they are part of the military, not sure if they even train with those.

Of course some units train a lot, they shoot thousands of rounds a week but the average officer only 50 rounds a year.
