    The river down here is running very high.

    I can imagine. I'm only 1 block south of the Little Calumet, it was only about 1 foot from the top of the retaining wall this morning. Good luck, hope you don't have to deal with any flooding. That would suck.

    It is very important that it is rebuilt!

    It will be.
    People are arguing about how long it will take.

    The president wants it rebuilt in 5 years because it will be the Summer Olympics in Paris.
    The cathedral has nothing to do with the Olympics, we shouldn't rush the work because of political deadline.
    Some folks are saying it needs 10 to 15 years to do things properly.
    With the tons of water used to put down the fire the whole building was soaked.
    It will take at least a year just for it to be dry enough to start rebuilding.

    I thought at 5 years was pushing it . . . but the 15 year seams long.

    It really depends how they decide to rebuild it I guess.

    It won't take the same time for concrete and steel, or for traditional wood.

    It might take 5 years for the experts to agree on what to do alone.
