hubby has an unhealthy fear of dental work

he's had a tooth going bad for some time. it hit the end this weekend and he called the dentist first thing this morning and had an appt for extraction this afternoon.
I worked most of the day alone. Took him to the dentist who couldn't pull the tooth because he couldn't get it numb because of all the infection. I got to hear all the way home how this is bull****, how it has ruined our 4th weekend. I am going to shoot him and then it won't matter

Many of us, including myself have been guilty of the same thing. I'm assuming they gave him something for the infection. If so, that in itself will help a lot with the pain. Just don't let him skip the next appointment just because it doesn't hurt anymore.

You can also remind him of what eventually happens if he keeps up those habits like I did for too long. Half of my teeth are fake now. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have them...but I would have rather kept my real ones. I'm getting older but I'm still too young to have dentures.
