I'm not a megafan of gyros but the Akropolis in Lafayette makes a pretty good one. They make the pita bread in house, theyre worth checking out if youre in town.

Looks like the rain is down to just a light drizzle now. I'll give it another half hour or so, then go do my errands and stop at King Gyros on my way home.

There used to be a really good little Greek restaurant near my old job on the east side here called Hani's Cafe. I ate there so often that it got to where I didn't even have to order. I'd just walk in, sit down, and they'd bring me my lunch. :): They were all family. Kind of reminded me of that skit on SNL with Belushi, Akroyd, and Bill Murray. "No Coke! Pepsi!" "Cheeburger! Cheeburger! Cheeburger! Chips! Chips! Chips!"

Theres a place in my hometown that I used to go with my gpa and his bf. Sackys was the name and used to do the same for breakfast and lunch. Walk in and theyd bring gpa and Carl coffee and me a bottled coke and 5mins later there'd be breakfast or lunch sitting in front of us. I really miss those days.

I love places like that. Won't get that at Mickey D's or Burger King, that's for sure.
