Yes those sugar maples are a pain. Just cut 1 down this year and I'm happy its gone.

I can't cut them down, because that's all I have. And we need the trees. Just venting.

I have sycamores on my north property line and 1 big maple on my south left, thats more than I want really. I like not having the trees in the yard, gives me a better view of the river. Have a big woods to the east of me and my neighbor to the west has just enough for privacy so I'm good.
