If you're concerned about stuck rings go ahead and squirt some Marvel Mystery Oil in the cylinders and let it soak while you're wrapping up other issues. plan right now is get it running, set the timing and drive it a bit. If it’s stuck rings driving it may pop them loose. If it continues I’ll start with a set of valve seals. If it continues past that I’ll run a leak down and compression test. And if it continues past that the engine comes back out, we overbore it and put new rings in.

It's helped with various stuck lifters, dirty injectors, etc. for me over the years and I always have a bottle of it on the shelf.
Did you run a compression check on itI don’t think it’s stuck ring/rings. The really high oil pressure I think is causing the oil to pool up top and getting sucked in through the valves. I may have to change pumps. It was supposed to be a high volume not a high pressure

They actually interfered with #3/#4 plugs. I used a set of raw header flanges as spacers and short plugs in #3/#4. MSD makes the plugs.What headers are those? Looks like they fit the angle Plugs a lot better than mine.

Yeah, I see people who do work on cars and I shake my head. I guess I'm too lazy. I want to do it once and complete. I'm not swapping an engine and leaving the engine bay a mess. If I touch an area, it gets the full treatment.Do it the right way as you go. Then your not chasing your tail when it’s time to roll it out.
