After they kicked yankee *** at will for 2 1/2 yearsThey lost. Get over it.
The South had superior generals early on. Lincoln went through several before he could find someone that could/would fight. Then Grant had some successes and rose through the ranks, got Lincoln’s notice. And then the better officers tended to be promoted to the top leadership positions. After they kicked yankee *** at will for 2 1/2 years
1.39 Union deaths for every Confederate death. The South had superior fighting men and superior tactics
So, when these "private" security step over the line, who will the people hold accountable?
And, if they are overwhelmed, do the police get to stand back and say, "Sorry. You said we were not welcome"?
We have said many times that police are a reactive, not proactive force. They respond when they are called.
I think if people have made it clear that police are not welcome, then police should not go to help.
Yeah, I know they can't do that, either legally or morally/ethically, but it does seem to me that that would be the appropriate non-response.
Blessings,
Bill
I was gonna say essentially the same thing. Someone called the police. Someone wanted them to respond. Should the cops call the people who caused that call to be necessity ask their opinions?Well, the problem with "not going when they are not wanted" is.. who gets to decide?
What if my neighbors don't want them, but I do?
Meh. She’s conservative. Guilt by association. (And probably a racist, too)Politician accused her of being an old white guy.
She was NONE of those.
The Supreme Court has ruled that the police have no duty to protect any particular person or persons, so there you go.We have said many times that police are a reactive, not proactive force. They respond when they are called.
